Capoeira Antiga Cultura Guerreira Auvergne

Association Capoeira Antiga Cultura Guerreira Auvergne has been created on June 10th 1999 in Clermont-Ferrand, region Auvergne, department Puy-de-Dôme, by Carlos Alberto Vieira de Costa, Ataare D’Costa.

Its goal is to implement and to transmit Capoeira in France and Europe, both in its cultural and sporting aspects, for beginners and professionals.

The association has developed a philosophy of values linked to the self-preservation through capoeira, that is efficient in an open, simple, humble and creative way. Capoeira appeals to every levels of society, children, teenagers, adults.

There are neither prejudices nor barriers against anyone who wants to learn and practice. The Capoeira practiced in the academy is inspired by African origins and the style of Master Liminha D’Ogum, Capoeira Antiga, Ango-Regional de São Paulo.

The association offers varied activities.

  • Teachings of art : movements, music, songs, instruments, history and linguistics
  • Events : spectacle and animations, (percussions, dancers etc)

The association is approved September 4, 2009 as a sports association under number 964-S-63, stop by the Prefect of the Auvergne Region, Prefect of Puy de Dôme. This accreditation recognizes partner of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Associative Life. The Ministry of Health and Sports 28 May 2009 granted the approval under number 63 JEP-EP-589. Youth and Popular Education recognizes (various social, educational and cultural).
